Èv van Hettmer (*1987, Nitra, Slovakia) lives and works in Hamburg. From 2007-2011 she studied Painting and other media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, from which she have distanced herself by returning her Bachalor diploma and degree in 2022 back to the University (*edited 05/06/2023), and from 2012-2020 she studied for a Master's degree in Contextual Painting (Ashley Hans Scheirl) at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Vienna. In 2017 she was a guest student at the studio of Performing Arts - Sculpture with Monica Bonvicini at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Vienna. From 2018-2020 she studied with Anselm Reyle (drawing/painting), Jutta Köther (drawing/painting), Simon Denny (new media) and Broomberg and Chanarin (photography). In the years 2019, 2020, and 2021, she was awarded second and third place in the VÚB Painting Art Prize.
